Internet Service Provider AfricaOnline, a subsidiary of Gondwana International Networks (GIN), announces the launch of its new high-speed satellite internet service in Ghana.
Called JOLA, the new offering builds on the connectivity provided by Avanti’s HYLAS 4 satellite, the satellite operator and provider of satellite communications services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Through the satellite that offers total network coverage of Ghana, AfricaOnline wants to bring its services all over the country.
“We are proud to be the first to launch the Avanti HYLAS4 service in Ghana. AfricaOnline’s provision of broadband in Ghana via the HYLAS 4 satellite is the result of a commercial contract signed for this purpose in August 2018 by iWayAfrica, the pan-African provider of satellite telecommunication solutions in Africa; another subsidiary of GIN and sister company of AfricaOnline; with Avanti Communications Group.
