10 May Kenya: Former Airtel Boss Appointed CEO of Liquid Telecom Kenya
Adil Youssefi has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Telecom Kenya. Youssefi is the former Managing Director of Airtel Kenya, a position he held for three years.

Youssefi has more than 15 years experience with expertise in developing markets, leadership and telecoms in Kenya, Ghana and Chad. He has also held various senior management positions across Asia and Europe.
Prior to joining Airtel Kenya, Youssefi served in various capacities at mobile operator Millicom Group starting as Senior Advisor to the CEO in Sri Lanka and later as CEO in Chad and then Ghana.
He takes over from Ben Roberts who leaves to concentrate on his role as the Chief Technology Officer for the Liquid Group.
“My focus will be on running one pan-African network combined with innovation. Kenya is a perfect place to be based due to its central African location and lively innovation scene,” Ben Roberts, Group CTO, Liquid Telecom noted.
Leading independent data, voice and internet provider Liquid Telecom Group has built a fibre network stretching over 4, 000 km across 11 countries in eastern, central and southern Africa.
After acquiring Kenya Data Networks in 2013, the company has laid 5, 000 km of fibre network across Kenya, connecting 41 of the 47 counties in the country with high-speed internet and rolling out new technology.
