31 Jul Nigeria: Government Thinks of Investing $ 1 Billion to Establish National Center and ICT Exhibition Park
The Nigerian government is multiplying projects to transform its economy through information and communication technologies. After the ICT university, the digital market is unique, it is the creation of a National Center and exhibition park TIC that was announced last weekend by Adebayo Shittu (photo), Minister of Communications.
At the Faculty of Law of the University of Ibadan, at the presentation of his paper “Jobs nowhere, but jobs everywhere: ICTs for youth and unemployed graduates”, the Minister stated that: The aim of this center will be to stimulate local innovation.
According to the authority, quoted by the newspaper The Guardian , the project worth US $ 1 billion will be realized in Abuja. It will promote investment in the ICT sector and complement the training that will be provided by the emerging ICT university in the production of a skilled Nigerian workforce indispensable to Africa to successfully participate in The 4th revolution, both industrial and digital.
The Minister of Communications added that plans for the establishment of the National Center and TIC Exhibition Park will soon be unveiled.
