The Ugandan government says its ready to adopt or use blockchain technology, which it said is relevant to the country as a way of improving efficiency in public service delivery, the Monitor reported. Julius Torach, the commissioner in charge of ICT in the ICT Ministry, said Uganda is scheduled to host the second edition of The Africa Blochain Conference in July. The conference is expected to attract 3,000 guests from Africa and the rest of the world.
Torach said the government has launched the National expert taskforce on emerging technologies to make recommendations on how best the government can leverage these technologies to transform our economy.
