Konnect Africa has announced the launch of its internet access offers in Cote d’Ivoire, for both individuals and professionals, particularly outside major cities, where no reliable broadband is available. The Konnect range includes eight internet access offers, ranging from 5 GB to 30 GB of data for Konnect Home residential offers priced at CFA 9,000-35,000. Konnect Pro is for professionals, with deals ranging from 50-500 GB and priced from CFA 58,000. The offers will be made available on a prepaid basis. Speeds offered will be up to 20 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up. 

Konnect Africa is targeting rural areas in particular with an adapted and lightweight service called Konnect wifi, which provides shared internet access through a single point of reception. Konnect wifi will provide internet access at points of traffic such as shops, villages, schools, farms or hospitals in rural areas. Access to the service will be through the purchasing of recharge vouchers, valid from a few hours up to 1 month. Currently undergoing the final testing phases, Konnect wifi will be available soon.

To mark the launch, Konnect Africa is setting up a promotion with local partners in several major cities as well as in remote areas, namely with Lifi-Led, Watec, Open Services, HubLive and Ecosat. The companies are specialised in the telecom and technology sector, as wel as in education, money transfers or audiovisual services.
