Minister of Post, Telecommunications, Technology and Digital, Imane Houda Feraoun, announces the launch of a national tender for the deployment of mobile network 3 rd generation in rural and tourist areas.

She spoke on the subject on February 12, 2019, during a visit to the wilaya of Tissemsilt, during which she proceeded to the inauguration of the Algeria Telecom commercial agency in Theniet El Had.

According to the minister, the call for tenders to be launched next week will be led by the Regulatory Authority for Posts and Electronic Communications (Arpce). Its goal is to enable the entire Algerian population, even those living in remote areas, to access the benefits of telecom services, to be connected in the same way as people living in urban areas and to enjoy the benefits of the digital economy in progress.

The deployment of the third generation mobile phone network in rural and tourist areas, Minister Imane Houda Feraoun said it will be financed with the support of the National Investment Fund (NIF) which includes a component dedicated to the management financial equipment.
