The Sudan Telecommunications Company (Sudatel), a Sudanese telecommunications company, is expected to sign a service agreement with Saudi Arab satellite operator Arabsat. The Sudanese News Agency ( SUNA ), which reveals the information, says the service agreement will be initialed by Sudasat, a subsidiary of Sudatel specializing in satellite telecommunications, to utilize the capabilities of the Arabsat 6A satellite launched in the space on April 11, 2019, in Florida, by the American company SpaceX. 

SUNA reports that the ground station for satellite 6A is hosted by the Sudatel Communications group via the Abu-Haraz satellite station. In an interview with SpaceNews , Arabsat executive director Khalid Balkheyour said, ”  The Arabsat-6A will use 16-to-17 days of chemical propulsion to reach its geostationary orbit at 36. 000 kilometers above the earth. From there, the satellite will provide broadcast and Internet connectivity services to customers in the Middle East, Africa and Europe  . “

The Arabsat-6A satellite, launched by SpaceX with its new propeller, Falcon Heavy, is expected to remain active in space for 15 years. Balkheyour revealed that 40 to 50% of the capacity of the satellite, which is equipped with transponders in Ku and Ka bands, was already sold before its launch.
