Global communications service provider Talia has announced the successful completion of beta testing of its Ka-band High Throughput Satellites (HTS) services in more African countries, including Cameroon, DRC, Gambia, Ghana and Congo. This follows constructive meetings with customers and partners at AfricaCom 2019 in Cape Town from 12-14 November.
As well as the beta testing in several west and central African countries, Talia announced that it has signed up three more resellers to provide Ka-band services to customers throughout Africa. Talia’s is working alongside governments, ISPs and carriers to bridge the digital divide, it said, by providing affordable, high-speed connectivity.
Talia said its Ka-band platform represents an alternative to reach places where fibre is not yet available, providing comparable high speeds at reasonable costs.
