Finnish company Tecnotree said it has inaugurated its first Customer Experience Centre in a new office in the heart of the JLT business district of Dubai. Customers there will be able try out its Digital BSS Suite 5 products. The new centre is intended to strengthen its presence in the Middle-East and Africa region.
The opening was attended by MTN Group COO Jens Schulte-Bockum, MTN Group CIO Nikos Angelopoulos, and Business Finland commercial counsellor Seppo Keranens. MTN has worked with Tecnotree for two decades and its Digital BSS Suite 5 will be deployed at the group. This has already begun at MTN Ghana, where Tecnotree’s open source Digital Billing Engine has been deployed.
MTN Group CTIO Charles Molapisi said Tecnotree’s Digital BSS stack is part of the MTN Bright strategy. MTN plans to connect Africa digitally over the next three years through its OXyGEN programme, said Molapisi. This aims to deliver brighter lives with greater coverage and connectivity as well as greater economic growth and employment.
