Liquid Telecom Group’s owned Africa Data Centres had announced the completion of the acquisition of a viable ‘Tier IV’ Data Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Speaking to the media about this venture, Mr Stephane Duproz, the CEO of Africa Data Centres, proclaimed that the facility would set the bar higher with what customers should expect from data centres.
The purpose-built Tier IV facility in Johannesburg comes with state-of-the-art security and global standard grade reliability – an essential requirement for key target users such as financial services.
The Executive Chairman of the Liquid Telecom Group, Mr Strive Masiyiwa, hailed the infrastructure investment that his organisation is making in South Africa, stating that he sees similar investment being made soon also in Nigeria and Ghana.
