The former technical advisor in charge of digital transition projects, Michel Yaovi Galley, now has the upper hand over Togo’s regulatory authority for electronic communications and posts .
In Togo, Michel Yaovi Galley has just been appointed to director-general of the ARCEP (Authority regulation of communications electronic and post), institution responsible for regulating the electronic communications and postal sector in the country.
Galley was far Conseiller technical support of digital transition projects ministry of Posts, the Economy and digital technological innovations and will take the lead in the structure, the result of a decree dating 15 October 2020. It will include a mission to accompany a booming sector, which demand an increasingly adapted to the evolution of electronic communications control, due to digitalization.
The Regulatory Authority’s prerogatives are in particular to manage and control telephone operators approved by the State, issue authorizations for independent networks and manage radio-electronic frequencies.
Remember, this entity, established in 2015, is replacing the ART & P (Authority REGULATION the sector of post and does élécommunications). This year already, it was strengthened upstream, with the assumption of function of 4 members in its management committee .
