The needs of consumers in telecom services have changed a lot following the global health crisis. Telecom operators who wish to remain competitive over the next few years are forced to adapt as quickly as possible.

The incumbent operator Telecom Egypt has initiated a digital transformation of its network. On Tuesday, February 9, he entrusted this mission to technology companies IBM and Red Hat. According to the public company, this transformation is part of its strategy for economic growth.

Adel Hamed, CEO of Telecom Egypt, explains that “  the Covid-19 pandemic has prompted all organizations to rethink their activities and change the way they work  ”.

Through improving its network infrastructure and services, Telecom Egypt, as a public company, will contribute to the advent of the digital economy as the government wants by 2030.
