MTN Nigeria, the country’s largest mobile network operator by subscriptions, has launched VoLTE services, providing customers with improved HD voice quality, reduced background noise and faster call connectivity. The new service is activated free of charge and is currently available on selected handsets including the Tecno Phantom X, Infinix Zero X and Infinix Zero X Pro, with smartphones and devices from the likes of Samsung, Nokia, Apple, Huawei and Xiaomi set to follow in the future.
Commenting on the launch, MTN Nigeria’s CMO Adia Sowho said: ‘With VoLTE, MTN continues to enhance Nigerian lives with innovative technology. VoLTE is free to access today at your rates, from a VoLTE-enabled smartphone so you can call and surf at the same time with no interruptions ever again. We move!’
