Liquid Intelligent Technologies SA has announced that its Youth Empowerment Programme is making progress in training young South Africans for success in a digital future.

The programme, which is operated in collaboration with Forge Academy and the Royal Bafokeng Enterprise Development Centre in Phokeng and Gauteng, has already benefitted 40 young South Africans, the company says.

Liquid says the programme seeks to empower young people by providing thorough technical training, personal development mentorship, and coaching. The programme also includes a company Start-up Package, which provides participants with a small company grant if their business proposals have the potential to be transformed into real-world solutions.

The next round of the programme, which will begin in November, will move from focusing on technical instruction in smartphone and tablet repairs to artificial intelligence, with students studying AI foundations, robotics, coding, and machine learning.

Deon Geyser, CEO, Liquid Intelligent Technologies SA, comments: “The Liquid SA Youth Empowerment Programme is aimed at equipping young people with the skills and support they need to become successful entrepreneurs in their communities and to empower them for the continent’s digital future.”

The company plans to expand similar courses across the country, with the next intake slated for the Eastern Cape.
