South Sudan: Zain launched M-Gurush, its mobile payment service

Emirati mobile operator Zain South Sudan has just added a new offering called M-Gurush to the African Mobile Money market, which already has nearly 130 services. The new service is the result of a partnership between Zain and Trinity Technologies. He is financially supported by Bank of South Sudan.

M-Gurush Vice President Joseph Arinaibwe said the new service will improve the speed of economic transactions and bring greater convenience to people’s lives.

“M-Gurush is a digital and mobile service solution that will work with anyone with mobile anywhere in South Sudan. The services that will be available on M-Gurush include: deposit, withdrawal, money transfer, bill payment, purchase of communication credit, cross-border funds and payment options. energy. These services will work mainly on a USB key or a mobile application, “ explained Joseph Arinaibwe.

For South Sudan’s Minister of Information, Michael Makuei, beyond the amenities that this initiative will bring, there is also the creation of employment opportunities for young people in rural and urban areas. Zain will need many field agents for this service that will change the lives of thousands of people.
