November 22nd 2022
Togocom has announced the successful deployment of its 1,000th mobile site in Kegue, a district of the capital Lome, which it claims marks the culmination of a three-year digitalisation programme in the country. Over that period, the company said it has extended and densified its 4G networks, launched 5G services, and deployed fibre-optic services in five regions across the country. Today, 88% of the national territory and 98% of the population are covered by the Togocom network.
Tarik Boudiaf, Interim Managing Director of the group, noted: ‘This 1,000th site marks a decisive turning point for the Togocom network. It materialises the realisation of the commitments and investments of all the Togocom teams who work daily to offer the best of mobile and fixed technology to the entire population. We will continue to move forward to promote economic development and digitalisation throughout Togo under the impetus of our supervisory ministry.’
