Vodacom completes acquisition of 55% stake in Vodafone Egypt – report

Vodacom Group has closed the acquisition of Vodafone’s 55 percent stake in Vodafone Egypt, Al Mal reported. The deal happened on 08 December as an over-the-counter transaction on the Egyptian Stock Exchange at a value of EGP 59.7 billion, it said. There was no official comment from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) or the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority on the sale.
