Ivory Coast: ARTCI press release relating to the identification of subscribers to telecommunications services

ARTCI reminds the population that the acquisition of SIM cards for subscriptions to telecommunications services is done exclusively in agencies, offices and branches belonging to operators or suppliers of telecommunications services, to their approved service providers or any other place brought to the attention of ARTCI by them, in accordance with article 2 of decree n°2017-193 of March 22, 2017 identifying subscribers of Telecommunications/ICT services open to the public and users of cybercafés .

Consequently, ARTCI invites the population to go exclusively to the above-mentioned places to subscribe to operators and telecommunications service providers or any other place published by them.

ARTCI would also like to remind you that the sale of SIM cards or other access devices outside these places is illegal.

Any person, natural or legal, engaging in this activity is liable to the sanctions provided for by the regulatory texts in force.
