Togo: ARCEP has launched a call for tenders to acquire a mobile frequency monitoring station

The Togolese regulator is showing more than ever its determination to provide users of telecommunications services in the country with quality services. The sanctions it applied in 2022 to offending operators brought in 4 billion FCFA .

In Togo, the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts (ARCEP) will acquire a mobile frequency control station, as part of the intensification of its monitoring of the quality of services of mobile telephony networks operating locally.

In this dynamic, informs TogoFirst , the regulator has launched an international invitation to tender (AAOI) to recruit a person responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of the mobile frequency control station.

According to the published AAOI, ”  the award of the contract will be conducted by open invitation to tender as defined by the Public Procurement Code in force and its implementing texts, and open to all eligible candidates  “. In addition, the regulator informs that the submission of applications is open until September 1, 2023.

Thanks to this system, which should be added to the control and supervision centre, ARCEP will be able to receive real-time information through a synchronization system and thus strengthen its control capacities “to ensure better comfort for  users telecommunications  ”.
